In the past few months I’ve started to struggle with, as the question suggests symptoms like those of schizophrenia.
I’m not a mental health expert by any means, so I’m not gonna make guesses. There is no saying I even have a mental illness.
I’ve thought about seeing a psychiatrist, but frankly it’s expensive, and I’m increadibly apprehensive. Both for rational and for irrational reasons.
Basically my symptoms (summed up) are minor auditory hallucinations, trouble concentrating/speaking. My thoughts become extremely fragmented, I skip around in conversations and loose my ability to think – randomly. I get crushing feelings that can only be described as a mix of that feeling you get when you’ve forgotten something and those that you get when you feel like something bad is going to happen.
Multiplied by about 3. When they happen at their worst, my vision becomes kinda tunnel like, and the room starts shaking.
I’ve been told I’ve done things I have no recollection of.
Advice?
Since it was asked. I have never done or am currently doing any drugs.
Also, If my symptoms persist I do intend on seeking help, despite whatever financial constraints there might be, I’m not asking for a diagnosis, I know you can’t provide that and I wouldn’t ask for it.
I was actually just wondering if there were some more natural ways to deal with symptoms similar to these, as I imagine they appear in different conditions, not just schizophrenia.
Oh, I also want to add that I’m not depressed, in fact I’m usually a pretty cheerful person. This just has been causing me some frustration.
